Culture Difference *_*

Was watching some *documentary* (not sure if it is categorized as documentary) just now at ard 8-9pm.

About the culture over at india.

Once a female turned into a widow, you will be chased out of the family/the house. *EVEN BY YOUR OWN SON*

And if a female turned into a widow before giving birth to her child, that child will never be recognized by the family.

This widow is to move herself to a village (a place where widows stay).

She is then BANNED from wearing colourful clothings *Only White & Pale Yellow*

Clothes must be like a rag.

They are not to live in good living conditions / environment.

They can't re-marry.

They have to turn into a vegetarian & live like a nun.

There is this mummy who marry her 20yrs old daughter (fresh & pretty graduate) off to a village. (not knowing who is her future partner).

After marridge and within 9 months time, her husband BURNED her into ashes. And the STUPID Reason is = She can't afford to buy her husband electronics & things he desires.

He BURNED HER INTO ASHES !!!! *_*

The girl's mum went to the village with the police & guess what.

The court system sentenced him to a 7 yrs jail & now this man is happily married to a rich wife. *_*

Whats with the Patriarchal System ?!!!! 封建社会，该有些改变了吧？

As a woman in india, here are the better choices to consider:

1) Don't marry - Prevent from being a widow or burned by your husband

2) Die earlier than your husband

3) Die together

4) Never Give birth to a girl

5) If your husband is to die before you give birth, kill yourself with the child *_*

These are the cruel facts that I get after knowing all the above.
