Appraisal

Was telling huBb that appraisal is coming.

Grading system is now in alphabet instead of the previous number ranking system.

Told him that a Grade C is considered as pretty good.

He commented how funny is it that during our schooling days we always aim for an A.
And now we are aiming for a C instead.

Gifts

Was quite lazy to transfer the photos from my phone to my lappie.

But I did it today.

And that explains why I'm here today, blogging.

Have received quite a few gifts back in office.

Few weeks back. Hf went on a holiday to Perth with her family. This is what she brought back for us. A nicely printed lil-glass with 2 choco. (Milk Choco & Strawberry Choco)

Thanks to the guy who gave me this lil-box of choco. I shared it with Reb & PK.

What a Public Holiday

Yesterday, boss called at 530pm, asking me to go down brief her on the drawing.

Just at the moment, I received a payment, so I did it first.

Went down realizing that my boss is not in her cubicle.

Went over to roy's.

Boss also asked him to brief her on his stuff too.

Both of us were waiting for her to come out from bigger boss's room.

Asked roy how long more will he be waiting.

He said he'll be leaving soon le.

Hmmm..so I left too. @ 6.30pm

Its a public holiday as I've said earlier on.

What can one do on a public holiday??

I helped my dad to tidy up the store room.

Months ago, we packed up all the books that have to be thrown away.

But we din carry it down, cos we tot of selling it to garang kuni or bring it to salvation army.

We tried to locate the salvation army collection point at imm.

But FAILED.

Garang kuni came but he doesnt want to collect those books.

FAILED.

So what we did today, is to move down stacks of books to the rubbish chute on ground level.

My dad is lazy to bring it down.

So I have to do it.

Used the mini trolley that auntie will push when they're buying rice or detergent powder.

Stacked the books on the mini trolley and went down to dispose it off.

I went down more than 5 rounds before I cleared all the books :s

After clearing so much stuff, the store room is still so packed *_*

My mum keeps nagging.

Saying that we keep throwing things or wanted to throw things.

What if we need it in the future ?!!

I hate it when a question came without an answer.

There is no what if.

To me: If i think that i'll need this thing in the future. I'll keep it nicely in place not anywhere or everywhere. If i can't think of how the thing is going to be use = just throw it away and don't take up extra space.

You see...there is always one person in the family who loves to keep things.

Probably 10yrs down the road and the same qns is asked:"Do you need this?"

My mum will still say:"Cannot throw. What if i need it in the future?"

Hmmm.....

So, I can safely declare that my room is the NEATEST PLACE in the house.

Ok. Now that my sis & I sleep in separate rooms & unluckily my room need to accommodate more redundant stuff than hers. But Mine is still neatest !!

Boo Boo Day !

Had a meeting today and boss requested for a drawing from me.

I showed him & he shake his head.

So I went out in-search of the drawing that he wants.

Flip through files. Went down to reb's cubicle to comb through her messy cubicle.

NOBODY passed me her cupboard key.

So even if its inside I also can't help it.

Went to boss room to find his file.

Can't find his file.

Finally took some other drawings into the meeting room.

Still not the correct one.

AND GUESS WHAT!

The drawing that he wanted is the one I showed him initially.

Verified by CDE.

*FAINTS*

Thank god I survived even though I really did feel faint from running abt.

XQ went for her medical checkup today.

And the nurse drew some blood out from her.

Unlike Yili, wt & me felt the pain after the withdrawing of blood.

Mine sustain for quite long.

Till about 7pm.

No strength. Can't move. Pain.

I'm fine now.

Went to my monthly ortho appt today.

Had a good chat with Dr Ng.

Bad new is that he said my case is quite complicated.

I'll will probably had my braces on for 2.5yrs :(

Taking into account that I may need to extract some teeth in the months to come depending on the space availability for the teeth to move.

Not the wisdom tooth, but those currently braced tooth.

Today, the 3rd appt, my new rubber band is ORANGE in color. =p

Dr Ng tighten the bracket, which I'm not sure how he do it.

Me whining while lying on the dental chair.

He told me that currently my wiring is the finest wire ever AND its going to get thicker & thicker.

OMG OMG !!!

I was advised to extract my right wisdom teeth first as it is more exposed & half-way grown. He said the swollen gum won't be as severe if I were to extract the right side as compared to the left. *My left wisdom teeth is still well hidden*

OMG OMG !!!

I'm going to cry after the extraction !!!

Its fun looking at ppl having their teeth being extracted but It isn't at all fun to be the one sitting on the dental chair.

Dr Ng said I'm his 2nd patient who keep complaining that I'm going to die during the changing of rubber. His 1st patient who said that was doing scaling & polishing ONLY. INTENSITY IS VERY DIFF OK. LOL.

Reached home & dad told me I need to go Post Office to collect a parcel.

Receiving letters today is like a bell curve.

One moment I reach the peak & another moment I reach the bottom of the curve.

Received this reminder letter from CPF Board that make me so pissed off.

Totally Pissed Off !!!

They better give me a good reason for that letter !!!

Para 1 contended that I did not give a response to their various notification letter.

WHEN I RECEIVE NONE!

And remind me that I've to start the repayment.

WHEN I've Already STARTED SINCE APRIL !!!

OMG OMG !!!

Para 2 asked me to submit GIRO Form to confirm the repayment.

I was given a choice to choose the mode of payment.

And I requested to pay through AXS.

SO WHAT IS THAT ?

I would have submitted the GIRO form if I've chosen that particular mode of repayment!

BOO !!!

What is the use of encouraging member to utilized the e-Concierge and go paperless when it can't be well integrated into your daily system/procedures of work !!

ARGH !!!

After a tiring day of work, and this bring my temper up to the limit !!!

Attacked by a bee

XQ was attacked by a big yellow bee today !!!!

Was in my cubicle doing some work when a bee flew past by cubicle.

I thought I was safe so I informed wt & yl of the bee, cos its flying towards their direction.

They were lucky enough, not to have seen it over at their cubicle.

Awhile later, the bee landed on my left middle finger !!!!

As usual, I screamed and flip it off my finger.

It landed on my file.

Just at the moment when I'm screaming, the cupboard supplier came to deliver the goods.

Instead of coming in to look for the person that bought the goods, they went "什么事?"

I feel so ridiculous having to resort to asking someone not within the office for help.

So I went on to ask who is he looking for.

After asking pk to help me call that person down.

The man asked me whats wrong and I pointed to the bee to him.

He walked into my cubicle to chase it away.

BUT !!!!

It landed on my calendar instead.

He walked out saying:"它 不会咬你的."

*_*

I said:"什么不会咬我！什么不会咬我！"

So he went over to my calendar and flip it away.

Haha !! Finally out from my cubicle and landed in pk's cubicle.

It laid motionless on the carpet floor.

However, pk didn't manage to pick it up.

Me & pk was discussing whether has the bee died or not.

The man cannot take it just said:"它死了啦!" while walking over to step it !!!!

Haha !! With that I'm assured that it is really dead.

So I went on to do my work in peace =)

The Story of French Toast

Yes yes yes....

YM gave me a slightly fake laughter this afternoon when I told him that the French Toast is really nice.

Getting the hint, he really ordered that.

So I swop portion of my spaghetti with his quarter french toast.

Although the portion of french toast I've taken is very butterly without much honey.

I'm still a 幸福 girl after having a bite of the french toast. =)

The french toast from the hong kong cafe is really really delicious.

It is tall in height. Soft & Fluffy inside. Crispy on the outer layer.

Eat it hot with honey & melting butter/margarine.

When the bill came to our table, ym jolly well took out his credit card as usual and placed it on the bill without checking it.

I took it away to check, and realise the amount of the bill totalled up to be $40++

That means, we can have a FREE Mango Pudding by swipping the Standard Chartered Card.

*WT commented that we're very auntie*

Too full to take in the pudding, we decided to pack it away.

Told YM to put it into the fridge & had it for tea break.

He placed it in the FREEZER & totally forgot about it !!!!

Managed to Microwave and consumed it before dinner. Desserts before dinner. :S Yummy tho.

Spider

I was greeted by a huge brown spider yesterday's morning.

Horrified by it.

Keeps me awake for the whole day *thinking that more spiders will be crawling out from my stacks of papers*

And he looks so much like Dr Asanga !!!

Eco-Lantern Competition

The Eco-Lantern.

Why is it eco-friendly?? Let me tell you why =) No plain paper. Only magazines, cardboards, recycled papers, starch glue, paper cup, cans, bottles, sticks & cny decorations.

This is our top. Took me quite sometime to crave out the Stars.
First we had a theme for our lantern & then came the name. *Love in the galaxy*

Then we thought of having a four-sided lantern. Lesser material lesser time spend and easier. But 4 just isnt a good no. No auspicious. *Me very superstitious la :P* So we went ahead with a 6-sided one. Liu Liu Da Shun. ^_^

The lantern (6No. A4 sized panels & a flying rocket) *with my 6 scenes telling a story. Then we met problems. We wanted the 6 scenes but how to stick it to the panels. What material to use. And once pasted on, how does light shine thru.

After painting the panels. The pasting came. They suggested using the punched-hole magazines. Piece by Piece we stick it on. Colleagues asked AIYO Why so small. Why don't use a bigger shape. 6 Panels pasted with punched-hole magazine. One day only can complete one panel *_* No time spent during office hours.

Pasting the 6panels tog is disastrous *_* Panels are weak & fragile. Not as easy as we think it should be. Die !!! Time to combine the panels but how to ?? Wahahahax...Chopsticks came to support panels. Better in strength. But when sticking panels tog...chopsticks become an obstruction. Chum again.

Base using sticks & candle holder using can. *cutting the cans -- cutting my own fingers as well*Wahahahax Sticks one stack on another...how to fix it to the base?? Cant...chum !!

First choice of candle holder cannot fix on to the base...Chum !! Change to using Cans. Then next, how to drill hole into the bottom of cans by using pen knife. Hahax...Then it is the cutting of thick wires without pliers.

Even the internal side of lantern is all painted.

On the day of competition, we tried using a longer candle. Chum too long !! Cut it away, still too heavy to hold, might simple topple off and burn our whole lantern. Chum !! Have to find ways to fix it into place.

Then next came the dangling stuff. Got the materials but how to fix it on ?? Problems after problems.

Not forgetting the rocket. HF made the rocket and after that we realize holes need to be drilled to hang it. hahax electric drill ok :P

After making such a heavy lantern. Hanging up is another prob. Wire yes we have. But no where to go thru. Wahahahax !!!

And Tada !!! Here is our product !!!!

These are the lantern sent for the competition. Other than thinking our lantern is good (Like who won't???), i personally love the one done by Tender. The extreme left. =) and also the Contracts. The extreme right. =)

Of cos...when there are competition among divisions...it will always be said that its unfair for us to win. A tradition A custom. Nobody will say its fair for us to win. Everybody puts in effort.

Our 3 months effort are NOTHING. Ppl will say efforts are still efforts...no matter how long it is still an effort being put in.
Our Nights & Weekends are NOTHING.

Our lantern is the largest. But who cares. Big doesnt equates to quality.

Its simply just sad.

When one is thinking that its ALWAYS unfair...why cant one first put us in the equal position and compare equally. Yea Yea Yea...i shouldnt be saying that cos one may argue "there is never an equal ground to make comparison"

Whatever it is. There is no ground for me to argue on. Cos this will continue to be everyone's mindset & it will be forever.

Haix...I knew this would come...but i din know it would make me so sad & almost cried in front of my bf :(

Joel called "scolding" me for not attending the pfm & re gathering and chooses to go for the bdae celebration with my CnP Family. And i started becoming very defensive.

Its not something that I can manage. Its not that I don't want to meet them cos I really do. But to me, being present at every single bdae celebration with my CnP Family is alrd the very Least that i can do, so i really cant missed it.

Mel said I should have join them (CnP) in the day since its a public holiday & I din have to work & its been such a long time since i meet them. (Yea...the previous time is during May celebrating the May Babies Bdae) *_*

She said I should have go out with them more often. *So its my fault that my free time just doesnt coincide with them*

They are all used to me saying sorry i can't make it. So have alrd started not asking me out.

While being kept in the dark at MBS Hotel last friday night, CH/LK & me had a lil chat. Many things we really have to agree on. Hao Li Bu Chong Xin orh :(

I really do enjoy myself at MBS Hotel with my CnP Family. Tho I have to say that meeting lesser with them had really caused an impact to this r/s, bonding & many many more. *Like not understanding many internal jokes. Activities never have participated. The lingo blar blar blar*But they still show care & concern to me. Really appreciate that.

S&C is having a mid autumn festival celebration on one of the monday during the september. The new-comers from Cost Control is nominated to build a lantern for a competition between the various divisions.

Apart from building the lantern, I was also nominated to perform a song together with my other colleagues. *So super random* And coincidently the song they gonna choose is by Faye Wang.

Not that I don't like Faye Wang but is a phobia for me *I guess*

Its like the first mini concert that I'm involved in. *Performing Faye's Song*

Decided to drop by blogger while waiting for my hair to dry =)

I'm back from my weekly tuesday yoga-pilate class from LTA. 1/2hour of pilates doesnt make me perspire, and if there is new pilates class that is coming up AFTER i'm done with my 12 sessions of yoga-pilates, I'll definitely enroll myself into the fully pilates class.

Apart from the yoga-pilate class, I've just register myself for the Aerobics Class which will be held on weekly thursday. Its not confirmed that I'm in the class yet, hopefully I am. =)

huBb (Its been so long since i use this "label") is currently doing his internship @ Jurong Island. Very tiring, yet he is going to start taking his 2 modules while working. So we won't be able to meet during the weekdays from next week onwards. Yea...I'll have to get used to it.

Ard 2weeks ago, I went to see a doctor for the prob i had with my feet. *Its in a condition worst than any aunties or grannies* So I have to take pills & apply medication. Its getting better cos the deep cut/wound have all healed. BUT the skin is still peeling....:(

Eh...Read Read & Read. Read something different on a Friday. Some new task which is yet to be given. Was asked to read it in advance in preparation for the new task.

The technical support is slow. Really slow. Have yet to solve the problem for a week. I might need it to be solved to carry on with my work. Maybe*

Something new for the upcoming weeks:

BB starting his internship from monday onwards till 17th dec. *Feels weird for him to say: 我要去做工了* Heex. Anyway, for him, office attire or even semi-formal attire aren't needed. Just Polo Tee & Jeans. *A big great news for him* So now, instead of buying more shirts & pants, it is time to buy more Polo Tees. *And that means, shopping trip tml !!!!*

Yoga class is gonna start on tuesday !!! Yea !!! BB bought me my training gear *the pants* & my yoga mat. Was wondering if I should get myself a top. Maybe it isn't needed. Shall go thru my first lesson before i decide on that.

2nd Week of Work.

Another week has passed by. Working life remains unchanged.

Readings & more Readings.

Love the hours during the training courses. Where time can simply pass by without you knowing, and yet you can sit there without doing any work or readings.

Body clock has started adapting to the morning hours & late nights. Tho I still need to try staying awake during the working hours by drinking tea, coffee & water. Or even munching on tidbits.

Was surprised that after them knowing me as my original name, one of the bosses called me by my english name (that very new name I gave myself just for work). Got to know about it when the bosses invited me to sit in their meeting. *A meeting that doesn't involves me*

Anyway, I have rebonded my hair *yes again* just for my convocation on the 9th July 2010 8pm. It is SUPER FLAT now...and the hair dresser commented that I don't have much hair *yes i agree, but cant be helped*

Collected my academic gown & invitation cards from Ching* on saturday at braddell before huBb send me home. This girl arh...dropped her very important eye drop bottle into my bag that contains the academic gown thinking she has misplaced it. wahahax !!!

Feel so weird waiting for her at the control station with the station captain staring at us. *We are not terrorist* :P

Colleagues are all very friendly. Greeting and smiling at you in the morning & everywhere around the office. Won't forget about including you into their lunches. Knowing you by your name & joking around. Chatting & more chatting during the lunch hours. Haha !!!

GD whose always come to you when he passes by and check out on your work & adaptivity in the office. *Nervous* Smiling at you and introducing people to you whenever possible. Heex !!! *More Nervous*

Wantheng had already started working individually and looking for bosses on her own. Huifang joined her team, visiting the lawyer's office. What about me ??? When will I get my fair chances ??? Soon ??? YiLi coming to work real soon *Tomorrow* What will she be assigned to do ??

Joined the Yoga class with seohoon & layling (All from contracts). It will commence on the first tuesday of july 2010 and 12 sessions in total to attend for. WooHoo !!! Pretty excited about it. But, I have yet to get myself a yoga mat & sports attire. Not to worry, cos huBb insisted on buying it for me. =) muacks.

Going to start having income every month. That means money money. But I feels poorer than getting allowances from parents. Why ??? Cos of all the bills & school fees that need to be paid. On top of it, a planned portion of money that need to be saved up for. For my future, I guess I'll need to be really really thrifty. =) Jia You ba XQ !!!

The Week.

The week before I started working, it feels like a long long week. Nothing to do. Spending my time on facebook for the whole day. Do some shopping myself. Travelling to amk to visit huBb. Sleep & Eat.

Not knowing what to expect from the working society. Mixture of feelings.

Finally, I've started working on 14th July 2010. The day was SO LONG. *Sianx*

14th July: Went kuishinbo with pfm gang after work. Late night = Tired.

15th July: Shop at jp alone after work. Home.

16th July: Met up with huBb. We had dinner at bugis & head back to jp for a lil shopping. Home.

17th July: Went karaoke with collegues after work @ Club7.

18th July: Meet huBb. Dinner & Movie. Home.

19th July: Durian Feast (S&C Welfare Trip to JB). A long & tired day.

20th July: huBb came over to find me & we spent 2hrs tog.

I'm so tired. *_* The time we spend tog for the week was so short. So short. Adding it together doesnt even comes to 10hrs. Hmmmm....
